Our Story
Cambridge Preschool of the Arts (POTA) has redefined what Jewish early childhood education can look like — emerging as the largest and fastest-growing Jewish preschool in New England and transforming the landscape of Jewish family engagement across Greater Boston.
What began as an innovative preschool model has become a vibrant gateway into Jewish life for hundreds of young families.
With proven success and growing demand, POTA began the next chapter of our work with the launch of the POTA Lower School.
We launched in September 2026 with a Kindergarten program, and will be expanding to a K-2 program in September 2027, followed by a K-5. This launch reflects sustained community interest in creating a local Jewish day school grounded in our mission to extend whole-child learning, academic excellence, and a joyful Jewish education into the elementary years.
Our Mission
The POTA Lower School grew from the same commitments that have always defined POTA: deep relationships, intellectual curiosity, joyful learning, and a Judaism that is inclusive, vibrant, and grounded in daily life.
The POTA Lower School will retain a focus on whole-child development, providing a rich social, emotional, and intellectual education for our students, preparing them for whatever comes next.
At the POTA Lower School, children are known deeply, challenged intellectually, immersed in joyful Jewish learning, and inspired to investigate meaningful questions with one another and the world around them.

Our Vision
Through joyful Jewish learning, authentic inquiry, and meaningful relationships, POTA graduates leave our community deeply rooted in their identity, intellectually alive, joyful in learning, compassionate toward others, connected to their communities and the wider world, and prepared for whatever comes next.
